The Justice Matters' Childhood Trauma Research Committee will be meeting with Kim Romary, a staff member at the Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City and coordinator for the Mental Health Coalition of Greater Kansas City. We will be exploring their marketing campaign to erase the stigma surrounding mental health to see if there is a replicable approach related to childhood trauma awareness in Lawrence.
Kim joined the JFS staff in August 2014 and her experience lies in nonprofit marketing, having spent 18 years with United Way of Greater Kansas City, including six years as Vice President of Marketing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University. An introduction to the Coalition's campaign to erase stigma can be found at: http://www.itsok.us/
This meeting is open to anyone serving on the Justice Matters' Childhood Trauma Research Committee, clergy, Team or Justice Network Members. The discussion will be led by a member from the Childhood Trauma Steering Committee who has prepared our approach prior to the meeting. Justice Matters' members are encouraged to visit the Coalition's website to view their marketing strategy in advance.
