This is a meeting with Dr. Caleb Trent, the Director of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. The Mental Health Research Committee is meeting with Dr. Trent to get a sense for:
- The volume of people walking into the ED in mental health crisis or related issues
- How patients are handled and the ED and the implications for staff (nurses, doctors)
We will meet in the Hospital cafeteria for an hour to plan our approach, meet with Dr. Trent, and then discuss what we learned after the meeting.
