Clergy throughout the Douglas County Area are invited will gather to over quiche and pastries to:
- Share the hard work from our varied research committees:
- Affordable Housing (led by Revs. Gale, Sturtevant, and Weinkauf, Dennis Constance, Steve Ozark, Sara Taliaferro
- Childhood Trauma (led by Revs. Elster and Mosher, Leslie McCleary, and Joe Snyder)
- Institutional Racism (led by Revs. Barbee and Galbreath, Judy Lewis, and Gary Schmidt)
- Jail Alternatives (led by Rev. Harader, Ryan Hickman, Brent Hoffman, Randy Krehbiel, and Barbara Palmer)
- Mental Illness (led by Rev. Williams, Pat Lechtenberg, Rose Schmidt, and Bill Wood)
- Prepare for the 2017 Nehemiah Assembly on March 30 at the Lied Center:
- Showcase leadership roles clergy can play during the season of faith in action
- Discuss the role of constructive tension in the quest for justice
Congregations who are not members of Justice Matters are encouraged to participate and come at 8:30 am for a brief introduction to the ministry.
Justice Matters clergy are asked to reserve the entire 2 hours to take the opportunity to prepare in the full.
