Details: Doors will open at 6:30 pm with refreshments and light snacks. The event will begin promptly at 7. A cash bar will be available, please drink responsibly.

What will we celebrate?

  • Postponing the vote on the jail until a study of alternatives is complete
  • Ensuring racial disparity in the jail population will be studied and addressed
  • Bringing training around childhood trauma to three of the biggest pre-school programs in Lawrence
  • Putting the issue of housing affordability on the map in the city

How will we celebrate?

  • Singing and dancing
  • Reflecting on our work with the help of Dr. Brueggemann

Everyone in attendance will be invited to financially support Justice Matters. Our goal is to raise $55,000 this year from individuals who support our mission. Investments from our Team and Network Members enable Justice Matters to sustain the organization and remain an independent voice.
